Three
Imperial Mushrooms
Three
Imperial Mushrooms is a combination of three very special mushrooms
and ginseng. This particular combination has the ability to enhance
immunity, promote regulation of the immune system, and combat disease.
Ganoderma
Ganoderma is a mushroom that has many different names.
It is commonly known as Reishi in Japan. The Chinese name, ling
zhi, translates to "spirit plant". It is also referred to as the
"plant of immortality", "ten thousand year mushroom", and "phantom
mushroom". These names describe the mushroom's reputation as an
provider of longevity, spiritual growth, and also its rarity.
Ganoderma
is used as medicine in China and Japan for the treatment of many
illnesses. Some of them are liver disease, kidney disease, hypertension,
arthritis, nervous disorders, breathing trouble, and ulcers.
Both
polysaccharides and triterpines are found in Ganoderma. Ploysaccharades
are found in Ganoderma and stimulate immunity and demonstrate antitumor
activity. Additionally, they have been shown to increase DNA synthesis
of spleen cells in mixed lymphocytic culture and increase both RNA
and DNA synthesis in the bone marrow of mice. The triterpines in
Ganoderma are reported to have adaptogenic, antihypertensive, and
anti-allergic effects.
Maitake
Maitake mushrooms originated in northern Japan but
can not be found throughout the world. Recent studies have confirmed
Maitake to be the most potent medicinal mushroom in terms of immune
enhancement and antitumor activity. Additionally, it has demonstrated
an exceptional cancer growth inhibition ratio. Tremendous interest
within the medical community has been generated by Maitake as a
result. This has lead to an increase in studies into the concept
of using Maitake in conjunction with chemotherapy for cancer patients.
Shiitake
Shiitake is a mushroom that is found on fallen deciduous
trees. Shiitake has also been used in Japanese and Chinese medicine
and cuisine for thousands of years. It contains proteins, lipids,
carbohydrates, fiber, Vits B2 and C, ergosterol (a precursor to
Vit D), and various minerals and enzymes.
Shiitake
contains Lentimula edodes mycelium extract (LEM) and lentinan. These
have exhibited strong antitumor properties. Laboratory research
indicated that their anti tumor properties are achieved through
enhancement of the immune system. Shiitake is thought to also have
antiviral, antibacterial, antiparasitic, hepatoprotective, and cardiovascular
effects.
American
Ginseng
As the name indicates, American Ginseng is indigenous
to America. Native American Indians used to to cure diseases and
to increase fertility. American Ginseng has gained popularity with
Chinese herbology which reports the ginseng as having the function
to benefit the qi, generate fluids, nourish the yin, and clear heat.
Laboratory
studies have focused on the radioprotective, antitumor, antiviral,
metabolic, antioxidant effects as well as it's influence on the
nervous, reproductive, and the endocrine systems, lipid metabolism,
and cholesterol.
American
Ginseng is used to treat weakness and fatigue. It boost the immune
system and helps to manage stress.
