What
is Therapeutic Massage?
There
are many types of massage being practiced today. Our clinic's focus
is on therapeutic massage, or massage that alleviates pain, discomfort,
and muscle spasm. For acute injury, relaxed muscles will allow blood
to flow to injured areas and aid in the healing process. For chronic
pain, aches and "tired" muscles, therapeutic massage can
provide welcome relief.
Many
patients enjoy massage therapy and look forward to their next office
visit. If massage is recommended for you by the Doctor, then an
office visit schedule will be given for you to follow. The number
of office visits will be different for each patient's unique needs.
Remember, it's always important to stick to your schedule that the
Doctor sets for you.
Is
massage for me?
Dr. Sekito consults with patients before massage is
administered. Depending on a patient's individual needs, massage
may be the therapy your condition requires. If not, the doctor may
recommend alternate treatments to address your health concerns.
